complication or completion

shoes.... shoes... oh my gosh shoes.

I love shoes. Do I see this as a problem..?... No.
The only problem I have with having so many shoes: No room.
I have shoes coming out of my ears over here people..
I feel as if im abusing them, they are shoved into every nook and cranny.
but, after I abuse them, I tell them I love them, and it makes everything all better. They would never leave me.

Mike didn't understand it at first, but when I explained

" The more shoes, the longer they last, for they will not wear down if I wear a different pair every day"
(ie. i have shoes that i wore from middle school on)

He, has one to two pairs at a time, and wears them (out) everyday. therefore, we have to buy him a new pair every other month..

I have spoken.

Blog Neglect...

Hello! Does anyone out there remember me? Does anyone even try to look at my blog any more? or did you give up cause i've been slacking for 3 months? if you give me one more chance I promise I won't do it again. I don't think the same applies with blogs as cheaters ( "once a cheater, always a cheater")
so you trust me right?
I guess maybe it could be looked at as a good thing, that i haven't blogged in so long.. I could tell you action packed adventure stories of what i've been up to... but they'd be lies.
I think thats why i haven't blogged... i got nothin for ya.
but, after 3 months i've accumulated a couple stories and pictures for you, that hopefully i can doll up to fancy ya'lls interest.
first off, i switched 3 rooms in our house around. completely rotated them, in a clockwise fashion. One being my "office/craft room". Now that they are all three finished (for now).
I  now,
#1 am able to sit in a chair, at a desk, out of the "dog licking" danger zone, known as the floor...( Mike tells me its just their way of showing me how much they love me.. but i hate to be licked... in most cases.)
and
#2 I feel i deserve to sit down and blog now that i have finished alot of my projects around here.
who says you can't reward yourself, even for the smallest things? I always do. why should only children get rewarded when they use the toilet?
When i drive the two hour drive from Roosevelt to Grantsville, I reward my self with Casa Del Rey for not peeing my pants on the way.. it's almost impossible for me to drive that far without having to stop or being on the verge the whole time.

so here is a brief about what else has gone down

 * I wake boarded for the first time
 * Mike had to go to the ER after pulling his stomach wake boarding
 * We had to pay $500 after the ER just gave Mike a shot and a couple pain           pills
 * We got New couches!
 * We got Cable
*Remi went missing after he jumped out of our huge truck going 60mph.
 * Remi returned almost exactly 2 weeks later with only a scratch on his bum.
 * I bought a dress that looks like a sweet 50's apron/dress and i like to put my hair in a bun and clean.
 * I decided to go back to school. Culinary Arts, to be exact
 * My Bestie and I booked a flight to South Carolina to see our Mom
 * We are going to Long Beach, Ca for Thanksgiving with the whole Howard family to see the Buberts!!! Then Mike and I are driving to Tehachapi to see his family!! Double BingO!
well folks.. thats all for now, Mike just got home from work, and because of you i didn't have dinner ready...  15 lashings are in store for me.
i kid.

21 son run down

this birthday was a special one.
#1 it was my 21st
#2 it was the first one mike has ever got to spend with me

since mike and i have known each other he has always been out of town working on my birthday, and it has always been a sad deal.
so of course, Mike made it up to me and a BIG way this year.

with out supervision mike and i can be giddy little children around the holidays
(and just any other day)
and we always tend to give presents early

like my new purse

oaklee shades

my hair do, and cute picture frame

In my mind, birthdays are special ones
and i think everyone needs a birthday week
you can't prep yourself and celebrate in one day.
so, my birthday week started on the wednesday before my birthday, when my sweet Cherry pie did my hair. i love it more than any hair do i've ever had.
then on thursday mike gave me the presents from him and we went out to eat
an den, though it was a good day to go fishing, mike toughed it out and took me to the city, of salt lake. and treated me to a big hotel suite in the hilton.
My bestest cousin since birth, Johnny came and stayed with us.
we had the worlds greatest Nachos from Moes, then primed up to go swimming. sadly, we found out the pool closed at 11, so we just waited til it opened at 5. Then, went swimming. we showed them.
After swimming, we had the best breakfast ever, then went back to sleep for awhile
One of my greatest presents was my bestie, Tyler Johnson getting home from his mission. but the downer of all of this was he was going to be speaking ON my birthday, and i was going to be at the cabin...
why couldn't i just been able to be in two places at once on my birthday?
but, being so brilliant and all, i thought of a loop hole.
Tyler came with us to Grey Cliff Lodge!

Steak, potatoes, ice cream and family
it was a great time, i love getting together with my family and it made my birthday so much more special

Then we headed back to the hotel.
but
(and this is kindof embarrassing)
we just watched tv and went to bed.
i guess, being one year older i can't really stay up night after night any more.
but, we got our rest and we were Ready To Party "Cabin Style"
but not without stopping at Boot Barn
were Mike bought me Thee CUTEST boots

we were the first to get up to wahsatach.
so we unloaded our things into the honeymooners cabin

then played some horseshoes.
while we were playing it started to rain
mike thinks that why i beat him.....

after the long drive and dominating(bria)/being dominated(mike)
we were hungry... but of course, after the long winter and no one being at the cabin that equals= nooo foood
so we drove down to evanston and got us some Taco Bell
We met up with Johnny and Sam and headed up the Monument to shoot clay pigeons. I finally got to shoot my new shot gun, and Loved it.
after awhile it started to rain...
so we headed down to greet the fam with some added guest, Brennon and Alec
then, devoured us some
CHILI DOGS
while we ate it started to snow!
so we whipped out the cards.
7up, go fish, phase 10, spit, and crazy 8
why play so many card games inside the cabin when we could be out riding and enjoying the mountain air?
cause that air was crisp and cold! it didn't stop snowing all night!
the next morning we woke up to the ground blanketed with a thick down comforter of snow
thanks for the birthday present mother nature.
so we ate breakfast, played cards and  watched some movies.
soon after the sibs arrived with some surprise(to me) guests.
the Matthews girls, Megan and Amy :)
with the family all gathered and some very welcome friends we
hunkered down in the living room and i opened a pile of presents.
boy did i get spoiled this year!
i got a new comforter for our new bed
a sleeping bag
goats
dresses
our own horseshoes game
WEN hair products
DRIED PINEAPPLE
a signed utes hat
a utes phone cover
a hilarious texting autocorrect book
more clothes
and shoes!

then they sang happy birthday to me
with my Yummy lemon filled cake!

sadly it was still snowing and we couldn't take the horses out
gee dang it! so no picnic either

but, it all turned out to be some what of a happy accident with the snow.
everyone was gathered together and we played some of the funnest games as a family all through the night.

we left the cabin later in the afternoon the next day after we loaded up my stinky goats
and we drove the two hours back home.
and surprisingly my old butt fell asleep Again!
i guess i can't handle the party non stop life no more.

when we got home our friend Beau came and helped us unload the goats and we decided to have a BBQ Birthday Party for me :) even though Beau thought my birthday was on the 3rd.
while we waited for cherry we played some horseshoes, and warmed up the BBQ
then had a great night together.

through this week i learned that if i said the sentence
"but it's my birthday"
i would almost always get my way
I think Mike is sick of that sentence and some what happy this week is over.

How Neat Is That?

*21 Son*

This Sunday, May 29th
I, Bria June Faulkner will be 21
It's a crazy feeling!
I've been looking forward to this day for oh so very long
I feel like 21 is the age where you Really become an adult.
but my moto is
" growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional"
so most likely there will be a recreation of this picture above.
over the years i've had some pretty legit birthdays.
when i was younger i always wanted treasure hunts for my birthday. all across the farm. I love exploring the farm so of course thats what i wanted for my birthday.
sadly though for a few years, there was always something bad that happened
some incidences that i can recall where
* Kelsey Elsholz tripping on the hunt and cutting up her knees
and
* Rylee, Kylee and Monique getting in a big fight

some of the better times were
*truth or dare, wrestling matches, and other secretive times
"what happens in the bunk house stays in the bunk house"
(giving sarah x-lax)
*Renting out the pool
and of course the best present ever
*graduating on my birthday!

The agenda for the festavus of what im calling "21 son"
would be as follows

First Mike and I are driving to our cabin in Liberty, called Liberty
 (our family is real creative)
We are going to stay two nights there since it is close too

Gray Cliff Lodge, where my Grandpa is taking the Whole family for dinner

Then it's off to the cabin in Wyo.
I have no bad memories at the cabin!
even every time i've been thrown off a horse, crashed on four-wheelers, snow mobiles and even when we couldn't find the 5x5 deer i shot, it's always been a good time, filled with laughs.

speaking of laughs.
if you were to ask any one in our family
(even the sore losers)
everyone would say the cabin is there favorite spot to stay up until 4 playing cards.
we eat, we laugh, and we laugh some more, we look at eachothers cards, and towards 1 or 2 we all get pretty delusional and crazy.
thats when it gets fun, and stinky (tonya)

Mike has a cute horse ride and picnic planned for the two of us

The one present i know im getting is some goats!
My dad has always been pretty legit in the present wrapping/giving department!
he said he would tie a bow around them for me, but they'd probably eat it before i get to see.

next! CHILI DOGS! Since im pretty much the only one that really loves these, we will have them saturday night before the picky sibs get there

This one is hopeful wishing. since i was little i've loved sunflowers.
i won't lie, i'd really like some :)

vicious circle

why is it that every day can become laundry day?
and to think there is only two people living in this house.
don't get me wrong, i love taking care of things around the house, but my sweet husband has a couple pet peeves that seem to make our pile become a mountain in a flash
#1 Won't wear new clothes unless they've been washed once or even twice first
#2 Won't wear the same pants twice until they've been washed in between
( maybe this one will make me sound like a slob, but i'll wear clothes a couple times before i wash them. then again, maybe it doesn't make me sound like a slob, maybe i'm just a lot more clean and less sweaty then the rest of you.)

Iphone4 Vs. MacNotebook

 The Battle has begun.
my poor laptop has been collecting dust this last week.
and my blog has been ignored.
all because I raised my white flag and surrendered to the iPhone.
luckily, because my itunes account will not work on this so called
"wonder phone, that can do all"
my first (tech.) love, my mac, is getting a little more attention, until i figure out how to get that working again, so i can get more apps .
until then... the battle continues....

Risen From The Dead

Zippidy do da Zippidy ay my oooooo my what a wonderful day!!
my baby came back!
I'd be singing in the rain, if there was any so i'm
doing a little dance, and makin a little love
(ok enough song references)(for now)
I haven't been able to use my precious for probably 20 fly life times... which is roughly like 20 days.
I was to the point of no return. curled up in a ball in the corner of a dark room rocking back and forth! i didn't know what to do.
not only did i loose my charger, but after receiving a new one, i spilt redbull over my battery! just call me clumsy clara!
but now i am complete again
so.... let the blog madness begin!

are you ready for this (da na na na na)

blog dedicated to Scott Smith, for only he understands(to my knowledge) the every day battle with the sickness of "randomsonginyohead-titus"
we're down with that sickness-- OOOOwaa-aa.

The "Perfect" Sleeper huh?

This is our Brand New KING size Mattress. (not our bedroom though.)
It's name is "the perfect sleeper". When we laid on it to test it out, we fell in love. no other bed after was the same. including our own when we got home. I couldn't sleep that night, all i could do was talk down to my bed, asking it why it couldn't be more like the "perfect sleeper".
but finally after a grueling weekend, anticipating the arrival of our beloved bed, it came. at 2:34pm on a lovely tuesday after noon. the dorkiest, yet cute, Total RM's set it up, then in a awkward flash, were gone, before i could even offer them a drink, or a popsicle (being the only thing we wanna eat around here, lately)
I was so excited to sleep on it. I kept walking past our room to see it, then once we would finally make eye contact i would walk in and casually say, "oh hi, you new around here?" It was like it was the new hot chick in town, and i was a creeper stalking my prey.
Finally, Mike got home, with just as much excitement in his eyes. he quickly showered, then we broke the bed in..... by jumping on it of course. Mike then bumped his head, and now no more monkeys will be jumping on our bed.
In most relationships isn't there a "more mature" one? In our family, there hasn't seemed to be one yet. Mike and I are both like "a kid in a candy store" with about anything really. but a new "Toy", we go Loco!! around 7:18pm Mike opted that we go watch a movie in our new bed... which means he will be asleep around 7:23pm (new bed or not) but im not gunna Not go lay with him, even though i know the very out come. so of course what i had predicted happened. Mike fell asleep. now it was 7:30pm and I was ( no longer smooshed, being we got a King for that very reason) between Mike and Remi, who both give off massive amounts of heat in the night. but luckily, our new mattress has a cooling system right? wrong! well.... it is right that it has it, but wrong that it doesn't work as well as i would've hoped between my 275 pound husband and my 5 pound dog. so, i cracked the window and soon fell asleep. but there was a problem. Im a night owl. always have been always will be. I'll only be a early bird if it's for something fun (clearly a yellow)
so, after about the 100th time of listening to the Arrested Development menu repeat it's self and the non stop orchestra of Mike, Remi, and Oaklee snoring, I gave up, then got up, at 11:48pm. I knew going to bed at 7:30 wasn't going to work out. especially after years of staying up until 3,4,5 then going to school or work at 7 and running off redbull and doing it all over again, night after night, day after day. I was clearly asking to have insomnia! Some how i thought a new bed would help, when all it did was make Mike snore louder. but, if all that means is he is sleeping better and his back and shoulder pains subside due to this new "perfect sleeper", then i will be satisfied and give this bed a perfect review. because my husband, being the amazing man he is, wakes up every day at 4:30, works a long hard 15 hour day, and never complains. he comes home to me late at night, but always with a smile on his face. I couldn't dream up a better man to provide for our family. ("dream" was probably the wrong word to use... being that i don't sleep)
